Members are reminded that the annual subscription for next season remains the same and the treasurer would welcome payments before the season gets underway again in late August. Adult members can continue to play friendly chess games on a Thursday evening in the downstairs bar over the summer months. 24 members and former members had a very enjoyable night at the South Beach Hotel when Len Weir who founded the club was presented with a memento to mark the occasion. Club members should by now all have received an e mail about the simultaneous display by Jonathon Rowson GM, on Monday 29 June. Club members should confirm their entry to Bob Reid (boblreid@hotmail.co.uk) by Monday 22 June if they wish to participate. After that spaces will be offered to juniors from other clubs in Ayrshire.
