Troon chess club welcomed some new members to the club last Thursday and we are hoping that even more come along this Thursday to see what we have to offer and have a friendly game of chess. This Thursday is the deadline for entering the Len Weir Trophy which is the main knock out tournament at the club. The draw will take place this Thursday and it is hoped that most round 1 ties will be be played on the 17th or 24th September. Please note that the Ayr Chess congress takes place on the weekend of the 11-13 September. You can enter using the link below. The draw and for the various club competitions will take place at a committee meeting on 10 September. Make sure your sub is paid by then so that you can be included in the various competitions which are on offer at the club.
