Troon Chess Club runs from September to May with informal games played over the summer months. New members and visitors are welcome throughout the year. Troon Chess Club has 3 teams in the Ayrshire Leagues and 1 team in the National League. Results of internal club competition games are submitted to Chess Scotland for grading on a regular basis. Troon is the only club in Ayrshire where you can play regular graded games almost every week and have your grade updated throughout the season. Last season we had 10 new members who gained an official Chess Scotland grade, by playing club games throughout the season. Club members have grades ranging from about 500 to just under 2000. and we have competitions to cater for the various grades as well as getting opportunities to play experienced players.
